Privacy Policy

ChangeMyPDF Inc. ("we", "us", "ChangeMyPDF") respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Files you process

Most ChangeMyPDF tools — merge, split, rotate, compress, watermark, page numbering, and image conversions — run entirely inside your browser. The files never leave your device, and we never see them.

For tools that require server-side processing (OCR, AI summarisation, server-side encryption), we hold your file only for as long as the job requires. Files are auto-deleted after:

• 1 hour on the Free plan
• 7 days on the Premium plan
• Configurable on Business and Enterprise (default 30 days, can be set to "never" or shorter)

Account information

When you sign up we collect your email and (optionally) your name. We use this for sign-in, billing receipts, and important account communications. We do not sell your data, ever.

Analytics

We use first-party, IP-anonymised analytics to understand which tools are popular and where users get stuck. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the public site.

AI processing

AI features (summarisation, chat, translation) are powered by Anthropic and OpenAI under zero-retention agreements. Your documents and prompts are not used to train any model — ours or theirs.

Your rights

Under GDPR and CCPA you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal information. Reach us at privacy@changemypdf.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
